What are Micro-ring or Nano-ring extensions? And who are they suitable for?
These are a type of individual strand hair extensions. These methods are also commonly known as micro loops, micro links, micro beads, Nano’s, i-tips or stick tips. This type of extension is primarily used for lengthening hair.
Micro ring and Nano rings offer long term, undetectable and damage free application that can last up to 3 months before removal and re-application of the same hair. Nano rings being 90% smaller and less detectable than standard micro rings can be used on all hair types, but due to their subtle design, they’re also perfect for thinner hair types.
The Beauty works Nanobond is a professional extension method that uses the smallest ring system available. Nanobond’s are applied using a tiny colour matched bond that attaches at the root of the hair. This tiny ring technique combines strands of natural hair with extension hair, held in place with Microscopic–sized rings to secure the hair in place for a comfortable and healthy application. Once the ring is closed it is in place for 12 weeks and the extension grows down with your own hair. Removal after 3 months, involves gentle pressure being placed on the ring with specially designed pliers that release the ring which simply sides out along with extension hair.

This no glue, no heat method is ideal for users who require a longer-term solution and want to experience extensions without the use of any chemicals during application and removal.
Both, Beauty Works Nanobond and standard Micro ring stick tip extensions can be re used for up to 6 months of wear. With no glue or braid these methods are ideal for users who like to style their hair up or down and require both volume and length.

Your Extension stylist will colour match your hair to decide which brand provides you with an invisible colour blend. The density of your hair and desired effect will determine the size of rings chosen for you and number of strands required. Price quotes are tailored to you and include the cost of the hair, first fitting, colour match and restyling with the extensions fitted. It is essential that the correct brush is used to separate the extensions during daily brushing, this and the correct products to keep the extensions in the best condition will be provided at your appointment with lots of advice on how to care for your new hair.

Should I expect to lose some ring extensions?
As a result of natural shedding (Approx 50-100 strands per day) it is not unusual to shed some micro ring extensions over the 12 weeks. Your stylist will allow for this during the application. The strands can be kept and reapplied.
Can I have my hair coloured with micro rings in?
We can only work in the extension free areas to apply colour during the 12 weeks. On removal you can immediately have your hair coloured and the extensions put back in with new rings.
How much does a removal and refit cost?
You pay for your additional hair as part of your initial package. Therefore, for a refit we simply charge you for the time it takes to remove, wash and trim your own hair, refitting of same hair and styling. Typically, this is around 50% of the initial cost. We will give you a quote for your refit with your initial installation quote for micro rings, so you fully understand the cost of keeping our new look.
Can I have ‘Hair fillers’ using micro rings?
Yes, you can. Although predominantly used for lengthening your look, Micro and nano rings can be spaced out throughout your head or targeted to an area to provide a fill in. Your initial consultation and quote will be adjusted for the number of placements you need for hair fillers.
