We love a hair hack, especially ones that can make our mornings quicker and easier. One such example is a keratin treatment. Just like lash extensions leave you with fuller eyelashes for an extended period of time, enabling you to skip the mascara, a modern keratin treatment can give you the look of perfected hair, but lasting for several months.
To put it simply, keratin treatments are one of the most effective ways to smooth hair, boost shine and improve manageability. This treatment is loved by the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Kate Middleton since it takes the stress out of getting hair ready and leaves it looking semi-permanently polished.
And so, say hello to Fabriq Reset which is taking keratin treatments to a whole new level.
What is the Fabriq Reset treatment?
For hair that’s smoother, straighter and oh-so-strong, this in-salon service with its new and improved formulas makes locks easier to manage too.
Each product used in the range has been upgraded and modernised with extra ingredients and enhanced performance, for even better results.
Thick hair that takes too long to style? Weak hair that doesn’t seem to grow? Frizz, waves or curls you’re not loving? All a thing of the past in as little as 2.5 hours, with incredible results that last up to four months.
Who is the Fabriq Reset treatment best for?
Keratin treatments are often associated with straightening, and while it does to this to an extent, modern formulas, like Fabriq, are based on rebuilding and strengthening the hair just as much. Ideal candidates are those with curly, wavy, frizzy or unruly hair; “essentially anyone who doesn’t enjoy their natural movement”, says Kerry, Owner of The Vanilla Room. “For clients who find their hair too thick and therefore it takes too long to style, a major bonus post-treatment is that it’s so much quicker and easier to manage.”
Is the Fabriq Reset treatment the same as a Brazilian blow-dry?
A Fabriq keratin smoothing treatment is sometimes referred to as a Brazilian blow dry. However, Jez, founder of Fabriq explains that “We’re breaking free of the typical ‘Brazilian blow dry’ mould that was all the rage in the late 2000s but has really grown up now. Fabriq lets you choose the hair you truly want, harnessing unique protein technologies to create personalised hair treatments in-salon and at-home.”
Unlike the traditional Brazilian blow dry which came under fire for its use of formaldehye, Fabriq contains zero formaldehyde and instead includes ingredients like a glyoxylic acid-carbocysteine, which has a pH nearer to our hair and scalp and is thus less damaging. Whilst formaldehye did a great job of leaving strands poker straight, it’s especially harsh and can pose a health risk if you expose yourself to it frequently.
How long does the Fabriq Reset treatment take?
The Reset treatment is personalised to you, so the exact time will vary. It’s usually somewhere between 2-3 hours.
How long will the results last?
Reset is a semi-permanent treatment, and it lasts up to four months, depending on your hair type and its condition.
