As the entry point to low maintenance hair colour and absolutely on trend with this seasons #shinyhair movement, is our colour gloss service. Ammonia free, this can be the addition of a super subtle hue, blending in the first few greys or adding a different seasonal tone to previous colour, without commitment. Ideal for both colour-shy beginners or those colour junkies who like to change it up every few weeks but do not want a root regrowth as the colour gradually fades away.
The choice of gloss shades has recently had an overhaul – with even more conditioning agents added and can even be applied in clear, which means you can choose the same shade throughout or have endless combinations. For example, you can have clear at the root simply for shine blended into copper ends – this season’s must-have shade. To keep that gloss super shiny, we recommend you book 8 weekly appointments.
Bespoke colour
This is our service name for when multiple colouring techniques are required to create the look you want. It is a bespoke and personal application tailored to your hair and style. This can be a low maintenance choice for those who only want to visit the colour salon twice yearly, if the techniques chosen are not applied right up to the root area.
Low maintenance techniques used as part of our bespoke colour services are:
Balayage
Derived from the French word – meaning to sweep or paint. This freehand application technique allows for a subtle natural looking hair colour, similar to what the sun does naturally, with results mostly on the warmer side.
Foilayage
A balayage technique applied in foils to separate the surrounding hair and produces more extreme contrasts. Keep foils away from the root for low maintenance looks with more intense colour at the ends.
Ombre, root drag, colour melts, backcombs
These are colour techniques used by the colourist to blend shades together down the length of the hair. They are not a shade in the shade chart and the colour pallet for these techniques is endless. When these are applied using our gloss colours and combined with Balayage and Foilayage then maintenance is minimal.
In most cases, for clients that are looking for multi-tonal result that is low maintenance, we will be using a hybrid of several of these techniques – with each colour placement unique to the hair we are working on. These applications do take time on the day as there are normally several stages, but then you are free to go for six months or more!
Why not book a complimentary colour consultation to help decide what is suited to you, your budget and your maintenance requirements. Simply bring us pictures of the colours you would love to wear, and we will decide on the techniques to get you there – this is what we are trained in.
