We’re celebrating a year of using the VISH colour weighing system which measures every drop of colour we use. A smart scale system for weighing colour formulations, VISH not only measures every gram of bespoke colour mix, but it also automatically details it on your record card every time, making our applications even more precise and individual to you. Helping to protect the environment VISH ensures there is much less colour wastage, as when we’ve finished your colour application we re-weigh the bowls, with any residual product calculated and automatically adjusted on your record card. This means next time you visit we’re even more precise and reduce the waste that goes into the sink!
Here are some fun facts and headline numbers from a year’s worth of monitoring every drop of colour we use thanks to the VISH digital scales…
- Over the last year Art Director Katie carried out a whopping 802 colour services at TVR. She used almost 90kg of colour which is around the same weight as a new-born baby elephant!
- VISH has helped us considerably reduce our waste over the past year, Art Directors Scott and Sam were our top two re-weighers at 98% of bowls reweighed.
- Our top overall waste warriors were Art Directors Melody and Stacey, each keeping the amount of colour thrown away at the end of a service extremely low.
- TVR performed 3,048 root tints using colour product with the equivalent weight of a piano!
- An incredible 2,681 Highlight services were carried out by our team in total
- Our favourite shade is a close call between a traditional light brown and a dark classic blonde. Between them we dispensed 1,099 tubes of colour, but the most popular shade at TVR was the traditional light brown with over 30,000 grams of colour dispensed.
- The most popular fashion shade that our clients had can be found in our blonde toners. Our two contenders are 10.12 which gives a super pearly light blonde finish and 9.01 which is slightly icier and on the silvery side. It’s clear to see that toning those blonde shades remains ever popular.
- We dispensed 877690 grams of L’Oréal colour from tubes which is 878kg the weight of three pigs or 2 polar bears!
- On average we used half a bag a day of Matrix Light Master bleach, which is the equivalent weight of a six-piece drum kit with Cymbals for the year!
