Blorange – Spring top trend

Spring Hair Colour

The oh so cool Georgia May Jagger started the trend back in Oct, and it seems that the quirky Blorange trend might be here to stay.  We’re seeing the likes of Jess Woodley and Hailey Baldwin going all out for this cute Bellini-inspired hair colour.

OK, first question…what is Blorange?! Our colour expert stylists say it’s not really a new hair colour.  We’ve always had shades of red…it’s just that this ultra soft, washed out look is more tint than full colour and this is hwat gives it the vintage peach hue.  P.S The name Blorange comes from the Blood Orange fruit.

Spring Hair Colour

This gorgeous shade suits most, brightening up skin tones and working its orangey magic on long, short, curly or straight styles. It will really work for hair with a blonde or strawberry blonde base as hair needs to be lighter to achieve the look.

Here at the Vanilla Room we specialise in creative colour; this means that we can help you achieve the Blorange look and at the same time also maintain the quality of your hair. We would suggest the following products to keep your Blorange bright well passed its sell by date:

  • Ask your stylist to add a touch of Olaplex to your colour process.
  • Take home Olaplex treatment no. 3 – Once a week slick a generous dollop over dry hair, and sleep in it.  Wash off as normal in the morning.
  • Invest in the Kerastase Bain Chroma Captive range of shampoo and conditioner – available from our in salon store

Here’s a little more about bespoke colour at The Vanilla Room…

Step 1 – Colour Consultation.

Your hair’s history & condition, as well as your skin tone, lifestyle & the overall look you hope to achieve is discussed. This is the perfect time to share lots of pictures, and tell us everything!  Your chosen Stylist will then advise on any potential challenges and recommend suitable colour and condition enhancing techniques to ensure your new hair colour will suit both you and the haircut you’re wearing.

Step 2 – Hair and Allergy testing.

We don’t allow guess work when it comes to colour.  So, we may require you to have a hair-history strand test before colour work begins. And you will be required to have an anti-allergy skin test at least 48 hours before you start your colour journey with us.

Step 3 – Personal Service.

Your personal Stylist will create your tailored colour journey plan. Helping you to understand how many visits to him/her it might take to achieve your new look, how much it will cost and how often your new colour will require maintenance.
